Last week I traveled to NY for fall market and while I'm certainly pining for spring, it was still exhilarating to browse the rich autumnal colors and textures. As much as I was excited to check out the new collections, I also look forward to reconnecting with the designers themselves, hearing about what inspired their collection and the causes and passion points that guide and influence everything from their color and fabric choices to their manufacturing and design practices. I also met some new designers whose lines I'm thrilled to be stocking this summer and fall and whose lives and stories I’m looking forward to getting to know, hopefully for seasons to come.

I had the chance to visit Mary Meyer’s studio and talk with her about her new collection which includes the bold graphic prints she’s known for, now on scarves and leggings, plus her signature silhouettes in natural-dyed linen. These are spring arrivals so we’ll keep you posted when they’re in stock! We’re also excited to add silk bandana-print scarves from Ozma of California to our current selection of her timeless silk noil and linen separates.

Coming soon is a new line by Canadian designer Krista Norris who has perfected the infinity scarf so that it drapes just right when wrapped. And a fun fact: current swoon-worthy PM Justin Trudeau chose one of her designs to gift to former (and greatly missed) FLOTUS Michelle Obama!

For those who visited the pop-up shop/tent we hosted before the store opened, you may recall the gorgeous handmade ponchos from Tejido. Well, good news for those who missed them the first time around: we’ll be restocking her ponchos in the softest cotton and baby alpaca so they can be worn year-round.

It was another successful trip that left me inspired by these incredibly talented designers and I can’t wait to share their wares with you!
